PARENTS AND PATRONS OF THE ARTS |

The Parents and Patrons of the Arts organization (PAPA) was organized in 2004 by a group of parents who wanted to provide volunteer, organizational, and fundraising support for the entire arts community, as well as for the then newly organized Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. The group is open to any parent whose child is involved in the theatrical productions (as performer or backstage), instrumental or vocal groups at BCA, or visual arts programs or activities. In addition, PAPA is open to any parent or community member who wants to support the arts at BCA. Dues are $10 a year per family. Membership form We meet once a month at BCA, from 7:30 to 9:00 P.M., rotating the day of the week to accommodate as many interested parents as possible. There are many volunteer opportunities available for parents who cannot attend meetings but would like to give some time. We also maintain a mailing list (a group email) for discussion of matters of interest.Please see the Calendar on the PPO Main page for the current agenda. We are currently soliciting advertisements and personal ads for the playbill for our winter musical "Children of Eden", with performances on February 26th and 27th, 2010. All meetings will be held in the upstairs cafeteria at 7:30 PM unless otherwise announced.
